Power Point Program Locks-up my iMac.

Postby Clive » Wed 11 Jul, 2007 7:37 pm

I receive quite a few Power Point programs in my e-mail. Some of these will open the first page and lock my computer up.
How do I either get the program to run, or how do I close the program without having to press the button to switch the computer off?

If I transfer the Power Point program to my pen drive, then insert it into my PC running Windows XP laptop, the program will run properly.

Anybody have any clues

re PowerPoint

I have had some weird blips lately where a batch of slides sent to me tries to open in Apple Keynote but still doesn't run.
I must say I haven't bothered to drag them off to desktop and do a "Get Info" and force them to open in PowerPoint - as they have been mainly "social" not business projects.
My conclusion has been that they have possibly been done in one of the new open source programs Neo Office/Open office or similar. Perhaps I'll go back and find one and see if I can figure it.
Maybe you could ask whoever sent it how they concocted it - but then if they are a batch of nonsense thats circulating maybe no one knows where they came from or how they were done.
