Photoshop Elements & slideshows

Postby gailhal » Thu 12 Jan, 2006 3:01 pm

I've tried using the slideshow tool - but find that when I copy & paster a number of slides [all previously given a sequence of numbers by photoshop] the system assigns them randomly.
Is there any way to get them accepted in the order I've given them???

getting pic slides in right order

Dear Gail,
Slideshows seem to work best when you assign a number to the photos - that ensures they appear in the order you would like them......so name them like
001tramway, 002flowers, 003buses.... that will fix the problem.

Photoshop Elements SLIDESHOW TOOL

Postby gailhal » Sat 14 Jan, 2006 1:27 pm

Thanks Jude for your comments - I have used photoshop to re-number my 110 photos, thinking that would enable to program to recognise the sequence. IT doesn't make any difference - the photos are assigned randomly just as they were when I used my own numbering system. Yet the quality of the pdf slideshow that the program automatically makes is very good, hence I want to get to know 'how to'.

Is there some lower/hidden level info that is over riding the numbers that show?

re photo order in Photoshop Elements

Postby glenidol » Thu 16 Apr, 2009 10:28 pm

Sorry Gail - some time has elapsed and I missed that question. Apparently renumbering photos in Photoshop Elements works on PCs in keeping them in the right order but there's obviously some anomaly on the Mac.
Renumber photo labels for various other gallery making software works for me.

Forum areas on Adobe seems like people recommend just drag photos in and then reorder when they are in. How boring.

Of course these days if you have a pdf under Leopard you can just drag the page icons to the place you want in the pdf and save as a fresh doc....maybe?
