Freeware & Open Source Software (FOSS)
Apple-Q maintains this list of free software that members have found useful. They are often useful replacements for expensive commercial software [like MS Office, Adobe apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Director), etc). There are a very large number of free apps available that do most things the paid version do.
Apple-Q also offers tutorials on how to use many of these free apps.
