Back in February’s Apple-Bug I wrote an article called FaceTime: Send an Invite to a Group Call about a new FaceTime feature. This feature allows a person (me) to send a FaceTime Link out to others (members) that invites them to a Group FaceTime Call (Apple-Q Meeting). In July we trialed FaceTime Link in our email to invite members to our meetings and decided to continue with it in August.
It does not require you to signup and join a video conferencing app. FaceTime comes with macOS and all you need is an AppleID, Apple device (Mac, iPad, or iPhone), and internet access. Actually, if you do not have an Apple device you can use any other device that has an internet browser app.
To join the Apple-Q Meeting you just need to click on the Apple-Q Meeting link in the usual email that I send everyone before each meeting or training session.
I need to already be on FaceTime to accept your call. I am usually on around 5 to 10 minutes before the 1:00pm meeting. You can join either as video or, if you are shy or have limited internet / phone data, you can join as audio only.
How to join our meeting (and adjust some settings)...
