Apple-Bug 2025-10 (October)

Happy 46th Birthday to Apple-Q! One of the oldest Apple User Groups in the world! It also marks another milestone - we have now produced over 500 issues of the Apple-Bug magazine. Which means we are also one of the oldest and longest running computer magazines in the world!
So what do we have for you this month? The web is all abuzz about possible releases in the week leading up to our meeting - the most probable is the M5 Silicon Processor and a MacBook Pro containing said chip. The next likely is the iPad Pro or Air with the same chip. From there it blows out to all sorts of Apple Updates and even one or two new Apple Devices like the HomePod Smart Hub. This could take the form of a iPad mini or even a screen attached to a HomePod - who knows which rumours are true (if any). Jude’s Findings contains more about these.
There are also articles on the demise of AirPort devices as well as Launchpad along with what to use as replacements. We also have News from Be Connected and Gary’s MacMost video tutorials.

Jude's Findings

Many rumours about new Apple releases - even some before we have our Monthly Meeting on Sunday!
