Apple-Bug 2024-07

During the last couple of meetings some questions were raised that warranted Apple-Q HowTo tutorials.

The first was how to monitor battery levels of Apple Devices and preferably giving alerts when the battery was either low or fully charged. This can be achieved via Automations, devices settings, apps, and even my home automation system (Home Assistant). I have written a tutorial about this.

The next was discussions about fake emails, how to identify them, what to do - and more importantly what not to do about them. I have written a detailed HowTo tutorial about this (see the article).

Finally, and this is a big one, we have had discussions and training sessions over the years about how to get your own web domain, set up email accounts, and web sites. So I have started writing a series called Create Your Own Web Domain. There are currently four tutorials with more to follow - no programming required (see my article).

There is also an article about new technologies (Bluetooth 5 & Wi-Fi 7) and when we may see them in Apple devices.

We also have some great content and discoveries from Jude as well as Gary’s MacMost videos.
